Hyperbolic sails are four-sided sails that use differing attachment elevations to form a three-dimensional canopy profile. On a typical hyperbolic sail, the canopy will have two high elevation connections on diagonal opposites and two low elevation connections on diagonal opposites, giving the canopy that twisted look. Hyperbolic sails offer an architectural spin on traditional triangular sails and can be used to create beautiful and functional spaces. Sails should be limited to 35′ x 35′ but can be manipulated into a variety of smaller square and rectangular sizes.
