Growth in employees and sales, new location earn Awning Works business award for 2014
Here at Awning Works, 2014 was a big year across the board. We were able to accomplish a lot within our company as well as in the business community, and it has culminated with the 2014 Medium Business of the Year award from the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce.
Last year, we moved into our new location on US Highway 19 North in Clearwater, allowing a greater visibility for the company as well as easier access for our customers. We were able to work with numerous clients on both commercial and residential projects in the Tampa Bay area and beyond, which were reflected as our sales grew by 200% for the year. This increase in business gave us the ability to add six full-time employees to the Awning Works family.
Awning Works was just one of the Tampa Bay area businesses to receive a 2014 Business of the Year award. The Chamber singled out businesses in a variety of categories, including small, medium and large businesses. Other winners included Owen Sweet Design, FAST of Florida, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and Palms of Pasadena Hospital.
The Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce is a community of diverse businesses that spans the beaches from Clearwater Beach down to the southern reaches of Pinellas County in Tierra Verde. Established in 1997, the Chamber enters 2015 comprised of 780 members and continues to grow every year. The Chamber donates thousands of dollars each year to charity and supports community events by recruiting volunteers from the base of its members.
We are honored to receive this award and have it proudly displayed in our showroom in Clearwater. Along with the award, our showroom is home to thousands of fabrics and numerous styles of awnings, retractables and more. We look forward to another year as a member of the Beaches Chamber and another year providing the best products to our clients for all of their needs, inside and out.
